Anime series The Promised Neverland is all set to go in its Season 2.
The series, which premiered for the first time in January 2019, became one of the best anime shows to come out in 2019.
It is an adaptation of the manga, The Promised Neverland, which was written by Kalu Shirai.
It was animated by CloverWorks and directed by Mamoru Kanbe, composed by Toshiya Ono, with Kazuaki Shimada in charge of character designs, and Takahiro Obata creating the series’ music.
Now we hear that a second season of the anime is in line.
The exact release date for the second season of The Promised Neverland has not been announced yet but it is expected to be announced very soon.
As for now, the second season of The Promised Neverland is expected to come out in 2020.
The series is expected to air in Japan on 13 April 2020 but its air date in other countries is not known.
The story of the show revolves around three orphans, Emma, Norman, and Ray, who live in an orphanage Grace Field House with 35 other orphans. They are provided all the luxuries in the orphanage, from gourmet foods to games, and they lead a happy life until they discover the reality that the orphanage that they lived in was a grooming ground, and they were meant to be butchered and sold as “meat” to a higher species later.
The second season of the show might explore the horror in the show, with the storyline tilting away from mystery and thriller.
The series is most definitely one of the many which have been awaited by the fans for long. The series so far has received much love since it has been adapted in numerous formats, including a film adaptation of the novel, which is currently reported to be in the works.
