The Witcher is an American adventurous-action-fantasy drama series. It is based on the novel “The witcher” by Andrzej Sapkowski. The first episode of the show was released on December 20, 2019, on Netflix. The first season consists of eight episodes.
The Witcher is one of the most viewed Netflix originals. It gained heavy popularity in the same month of its release. It has around 76 million viewers and moreover, still counting.
We have a solid idea that season is ought to release in 2021. Its filming will soon start in London.
Although, the exact dates of the release of season 2nd are not yet announced.
The lead characters are returning back in their territory, there is no doubt in that. Henry Cavill as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Freya Allan as Ciri.
However, a new member is added to the cast. Carmel Laniado as Violet will be coming to the show. Violet is a young girl who will show herself as a happy girl but instead is very sad from inside.
Violet is an original character, she has no basis in the books so far.
Till now the story revolves around Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer. The three protagonists facing the ideal events in their specific timelines eventually bumped into each other.
The plot of the story will be linear this time. The relationships that started in the season will grow. People will interact a little more this time which will go a little well and a little bad, said Hissrich in an interview. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich is the creator of the show.
According to the books, Geralt and Ciri will apparently be traveling to Kaer Morhen, the ancestral home of the witchers, and meet a man-turned-beast named Nivellen on their travels. However, we cant say that this is going to be the exact plot of season 2.
