‘Frontier Season 4’: Is the show coming back to Netflix? Is Jason Momoa going to be back? Read on to find out more

Canadian historical period drama, Frontier, might not go into a Season 4.

The show, produced by Discovery Canada, along with Netflix, premiered for the first time on Netflix on 6 November 2016.

The show is created by Peter Blackie and Rob Blackie and stars Jason Momoa as the protagonist of the show. Apart from him, Alun Armstrong, Landon Liboiron, Zoe Boyle and Jessica Matten, among others.

The story of the show revolves around the North American fur trade in the 1700s in Canada.

Despite being nominated for various awards and receiving critical appreciation, the show might not go into season 4.

Earlier, it was being speculated whether the show will go into a season 4 or not, especially when the star of the show, Jason Momoa had hinted over social media that a season 4 of the show is underway.

But, later on, another cast member from the show, Jessica Matten revealed that season 4 of the show might actually not come.

Jason Momoa, then, himself, went over social media to say that season 4 of the show might not release anytime soon.

Therefore, season 4 of the show, as of now, is not going to come anytime soon on Netflix.

Even if Netflix decides to renew the show for another season, Discovery Canada will also have a say in the same, since the show is jointly produced by Discovery Canada and Netflix.

Whether or not Jason Momoa will be back for a season 4 will totally depend on whether or not the show comes around for another season.

The fans of the show are obviously disappointed. The fact that the show was canceled after only three seasons, despite having a successful run and decent viewership was heartbreaking.

It is left to witness who will be directing the season 4 of the show if the season 4 of the show comes at all.
