Wrong Turn is an American horror film series created by Alan B. McElroy. The first installment came out in 2003. The plots of all the six films were based on various murderous mutated mountain men or cannibals who hunt people in the mountains of West Virginia and torture and kill them in ways that are not for the weak of heart. They are adept at making traps and using weaponry such as bow and arrows. Some of the cannibals include Three fingers, three toes, sawtooth, one eye, and many more. They are extremely hostile towards humans and show a keen intellect that makes the chase all the more interesting to watch. The series has dished out a fair amount of suspense, thrill, blood, and horror that has the adrenaline racing in the viewers.

The 6th installment was sort of a standalone in the series and received mixed reviews. Hence, the 7th installment is going to be a total reboot of the plot, and screenwriting will be done by the original creator Alan B. McElroy. The 7th installment was given a go in October 2018. According to sources, the film completed shooting in the fall of 2019 in the woods of Ohio. Hence the film is currently undergoing the editing and post-production processes.

According to sources, the trailer for the same should be coming out by September 2020. Originally, the film was speculated to release by the end of 2020, but seeing the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, it might be pushed back to 2021.
