Fast and Furious nine or simply F9 is an upcoming American action film and ninth installment of the franchise. The first installment premiered in 2001, and there is no stopping since then. This film is directed by Justin Lin and has been written by Daniel Casey. The franchise is based upon the characters by Gary Scott Thompson.
The film was initially scheduled to be released on May 22, 2020. But after the pandemic outbreak and shutting down of theatres compelled Universal Pictures to reschedule it. Currently, it has been postponed to April 2, 2021, which is ample time for the situation to recover.
This installment is the sequel of 2017 released ‘The Fate of the Furious.’ Corresponding to the events of the former film, this film requires Dominic Toretto and his family to stand against Jakob. Jakob is Dominic’s younger brother and is a deadly assassin now. He is working for Cipher. Cipher is Dominic’s old enemy and has a personal grudge against him too.
