“The Orville Season 3”: “The stakes up” Goodman said while speaking to “TrekMovie”

The American science fiction series, The Orville, after being received dearly by its fans has been renewed for the third season. The first season released in 2017 and fans are getting restless to know what’s in the works for Season 3.

The Orville Season 3: RENEWED?

We are here to give you the news: The Orville is here… but not yet. As the pandemic hit, the production had to stop mid-way. They are still awaiting word on when they can resume shooting for the much-awaited season. The producers, Tom Costantino and David Goodman spoke with TrekMovie regarding the same.

Goodman says, “There are lots of conversations going on at this moment, but nobody has made a hard decision on return to work. We want to get back to work as soon as we can, but we want to do it safely. And whatever strictures are in place, we don’t want them to get in the way of the show we want to make.”

Season three is now going to air on Hulu, a streaming platform, leaving Fox. As Hulu and Fox are both owned by Disney, there are not going to be any changes in the plot or the cast, only “more freedom,” The series will have 10 more minutes into its running time, with 11 episodes.

The plot of The Orville Season 3?

It is not known what the story writers have in line for the fans but the third season is definitely going to answer the questions the second season might have brought up.  MacFarlane says they are taking “the stakes up.” Goodman said speaking to TrekMovie, “We are still going to be doing standalone episodes. However, now we have shown that we can do a deeper dive in the Union, into the aliens, into our characters. So, we will continue that build.” He also added, “We’re expanding the characters and storylines, building on everything we’ve done before.” He stressed that the series need not always be a comedy and that it is important to play it seriously when necessary.
