Although “Justice League” couldn’t make up to the mark on the box office, it managed to make $658 million worldwide. DC announced the film in 2014 that seemed to be followed by a sequel in June 2019. Zack Snyder’s two-film plan became blurred when Justice League premiered in 2019, and it received criticism across the globe. It seems that the audience responses have made it difficult to have any sequel soon.
Well, nobody knows, perhaps not even the director of Justice League Zack Snyder, when a sequel will finally be released. After the immense success of standalone films like “Wonder Woman,” “Aquaman,” and “Joker,” fans are desperate to watch their favorite characters together again. But, the bigger question is when the second part of the Justice League comes out. However, we are certain that there will be a sequel and looking forward to DC’s official announcement.
We may have to hold breathe for a little longer as there is already a bunch of films lined up till 2022. Meanwhile, we expect to premiere of Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), The Batman (2021), and The Flash (2022).
We can assure you that Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as Flash are set to come back in the sequel. There has been no confirmation of whether Henry Cavill will play the character of Superman. Ben Affleck, however, officially took retirement from Batman’s role. Hence Robert Pattinson will replace Ben Affleck as Batman.
We also expect Jesse Eisenberg and Joe Manganiello to play the characters of the eccentric Lex Luthor and Deathstroke, respectively, in Justice League 2.
Figuring out possible plots and discussing conspiracy theories of either a DC or a Marvel film before its release is nothing new. Zack Snyder planned to introduce Darkseid in comparison to Marvel’s Thanos and create an apocalypse from which DC’s superheroes can return. Darkseid is the most powerful villain like Marvel’s Thanos in DC’s extended universe. With the character of Jocker, we are quite sure that DC will play its trump card when it is the right time.
The appearance of Lex Luthor and Deathstroke Wilson in the post-credit scene of the Justice League indicates a villain team will be formed against the superheroes of the Justice League.
Thousands of years ago, Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons attempted to take over the Earth using the combined energies of the three Mother Boxes. The Mother Boxes were separated and hidden in multiple locations after Steppenwolf’s army was repelled. In the present, two years after Superman’s death, mankind is still mourning. It triggers reactivation of the Mother Boxes and Steppenwolf’s return to Earth. Steppenwolf aims to re-establish his power along with master Darkseid by gathering the boxes to form the unity that will destroy Earth’s ecology.
In Justice League, Batman and wonder woman recruit The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg after the death of Superman to save the world from Steppenwolf and his Parademons army’s catastrophic threat.
