But it’s in the air that Yun Lee, who played Takeshi in Season 1, is returning in Season 3. However, his character is still under wraps. In the past, Joel Kinnaman, Anthony Mackie, and Ray Chase have played the role of Takeshi Kovacs. However, we might see Takeshi in Season 3 will a little reinvention. Other characters of the star cast will also reprise their roles:
The series takes us to a future of 300 years later. It is a world where consciousness is digitalized. Death is no more permanent. Altered Carbon Season 1 was a sci-fi detective story. Whereas Season 2 presented a wider story arc. It included alien elements and a cyberpunk adventure storyline. Richard revealed that Altered Carbon is meant to be an anthology series. However, it will be one with continuity. So, season by season, the audience will follow the journey of Takeshi Kovacs through hundred years in multiple bodies.
In the last season. Mackie’s Kovacs’s stack was destroyed. But, later on, it is revealed that it is still present in digital form. Rumor has it Poe, and Dig’s relationship will become more prominent in Season 3. Most probably, Season 3 will scratch the consequences of double stacking.
The new season has new characters and new sleeves in store for us. But the new mission is still a mystery. It will focus on the search for identity and the result of past actions.
