All we need is love. The Beatles were not the first to say it. The other thing we need is acceptance. Anne with an E, the show that has been regrettably canceled by Netflix, circles back to it, playing with the themes of racism, feminism, gender-bias, stereotypes. That is exactly why it is much loved by the fans; with the news of cancelation, they took to twitter and signing petitions to bring back Anne with an E back to Green Gables.

Anne with an E Season 4: Release Date
The series premiered on March 19, 2017, on CBC and on May 12 on Netflix, with the second season releasing entirely on July 6, 2018, on Netflix. The third and final season aired on January 3, 2020. With the kind of fury the fans have exhibited over twitter, it is hard to make a stone-carved statement. The show might just return for another season.
But for now, there have been no formal announcements on the future of the show, except that it has been canceled.
Anne with an E Season 4: Cast
The few recurring characters in the show include the very imaginative, high- spirited aka kindred spirit, Anne Shirley-Cuthbert (played by Amybeth McNulty), her adopted parents (who are siblings by the way), Marilla Cuthbert (played by Geraldine James) and Matthew Cuthbert (played by R.H. Thomson), her bosom friend Diana Barry (Dalila Bela), and her long-time romance Gilbert Blythe (played by Lucas Jade Zumann).
They will reprise their roles in Season 4 if it ever comes to be produced.
Anne with an E Season 4: Plot
Season 3 ended with Gilbert confessing his love to Anne before she parted ways with Green Gables to go away for college. The new season may pick up from there. It can explore their long-distance relationship, until one day they seal the deal and finally get married. The bride of adventure, Anne will then become his bride. Wouldn’t it be ever so lovely and romantic? This is what the show does to you. If you haven’t watched it, you won’t know what I am talking about. So, don’t miss out!
Anne with an E: Storyline
In the year 1896, when Green Gables decided to use some joy and bring a child from the asylum, who knew that their world was going to change. Anne (with an E) Shirley, despite having gone through the worst of times, maintained a smile on her face and imagination on her toes that is likely to melt even a stone. After she is brought to home, it takes time for the community to accept her. Her flight of imagination and intellect finally lead the society to own her for herself.
The story takes several turns to include social problems such as bullying, racism, homophobia, sexism, and so forth.
