Created by Lena Waithe, Twenties is a comedy-drama series which was premiered on BET on March 4, 2020.
The plot is semi-biographical and revolves around three women, Hattie and her two best friends Marie and Nia. Hattie is queer and her two best friends are straight. This scripted comedy is about how these three best friends deal with their life, career, and relationship.
This series is about the irony and comedy which is hidden in the efforts of off-beat women who want to get themselves settled in Hollywood.
Although the series has a good storyline and concept and even managed to get favorable reviews it also dealt with criticism that the story bends too much towards ‘Black’ typifications. However, positive comments heavily exceed negative responses. The comedy-drama series scored 93℅ of the approval ratings in rotten tomatoes.
And due to its high admiration and an instant hit on its release, the makers of the show are all set to renew the show for the second season and fans are quite excited for the upcoming season.

Release Date: Twenties season 2
As of now, there is no official announcement about the release date of season 2 but in June 2020 the series was renewed for the second season.
However, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, It is expected that the show is not going to release this year and we can guess the show can premiere somewhere in early 2021.

Plot: Twenties season 2
Before proceeding further there is a fun fact about the show which states that the creator of the show Lena Waithe wrote the story when she herself was in her twenties and she jotted down her experience when she first landed in Los Angeles.
In season 1, Hattie tries to face new challenges in a new city. After she loses her first job, she ends up working for the renowned writer and producer, Ida B. This delivery ends on an unexpected note when Hattie is fired from her job after she tries to get Nia a position in “Cocoa Butter”. Thus, season 2 is expected to start from here and the upcoming season will be again revolving around Hattie and her two best friends as they face several problems and how they face them fiercely and without getting sad or underconfident about the same.
