Poliwag Pokedex Game CONFIRMED, Play as Pokemon Trainer, Evolution, Game Location, and stats.

Poliwag, also known as Tadpole Pokemon, is a Water-type Pokemon, which is introduced in the first installment of Pokemon franchise, Generation I. At level 25, Poliwag turns into Poliwhirl and then into Poliwrath when it is exposed to Water Stone. It evolves into Politoed when King’s Rock is held while trading. The game features 151 Pokemon in total.

Generation I: Gameplay

The gameplay involves the player (Pokemon Trainer) who tries to obtain all the 151 Pokemon by defeating the Gym Leaders, the Elite Four and Pokemon Champion, also championing other Pokemon Trainers on the way.

The player walks around in the hope of obtaining a Pokemon. When one does appear, it uses the previously caught Pokemon to lower the free one’s health. That allows the player to capture it with a Poke Ball. The player is allowed to carry only six Pokemon at a time. The seventh Pokemon goes into a Pokemon Storage System. The player can change their sequence by accessing the same. It comprises of twelve boxes ( each can contain twenty Pokemon).

Poliwag Pokedex: Stats

Statistics or Stats apply to Pokemon’s abilities during a battle. The values calculate damage given, received, etc. Upon gaining a level, the stats also increase. The stats consist of Attack, Defense, Speed, HP (hit points), Special:

HP – value determining the damage a Pokemon can receive.

Attack – value determining the damage a Pokémon can cause to the opponent using a move.

Defense – value determining the damage a Pokémon can resist when hit.

Special Attack – value determining the damage a Pokémon can cause to the opponent using a “special” move.

Special Defense – value determining the damage a Pokémon can resist when hit by a “special” move.

Poliwag Pokedex: Move

Pokemon have moves, i.e. a technique it uses in or out of a battle. They can be used to attack another Pokemon or to heal. When out of the battle, the moves are mainly used for transportation. A Pokemon can have 4 moves at a time (out of 165). They are Physical, Special and Status.

Physical – moves that are in physical contact with the opponent (Punch, Cut). There are also non-contact moves but involve physical power (Earthquake, Rock Slide).

Special – moves that cause damage as per the Special Stats of both the attacker and the defendant (Water gun, Absorb).

Status – moves that change the weather or lower the stats of a Pokémon (Mist, Supersonic).

Poliwag Pokedex: Evolution

Evolution occurs when a Pokemon turns into a different kind of Pokemon using stones or being traded when the players reach a certain level. If it has one, the Pokemon will evolve into the other form.
