What Keeps You Alive: Plot
The plotline of the film is thrilling and keeps the viewers on edge until the last minute. What keeps you alive introduces two characters, Jules and her wife, Jackie. The story begins as they decide to explore a remote cabin in the event of their first wedding anniversary. Suspicions arise, as Jackie’s old friend visits and call her Megan. Jackie tries to brush off the doubts from Jules, but she isn’t convinced.
Jules goes off to meet Sarah and discover the truth. Sarah informs that while in school, a girl named Jenny drowned in the lake. Jules finds it surprising that Jackie didn’t ever mention Jenny. However, once again, Jackie brushes Jules off, saying she believes it was her fault. As Jules tries to come to terms with the information, Jackie throws her off a cliff.
But, a twist in the story arrives, as Jackie while trekking down the cliff, finds Jules, seriously injured, but alive. Thus, the story begins with a couple at each other’s throats. The film involves murder, mu=mystery, thrill and a lot of bloodsheds.
What Keeps You Alive: Ending Explained
The ending of the film has people confused. Viewers have questions regarding the fate of Jules. The creators of the film have made the finale an open-ended one. Moreover, it might be an indication of a sequel.

We also witness another scene where Jules finds a box hidden in one of the walls. The box contains pendants similar to the one Jackie gifted Jules. As dots are connected, she realizes that Jackie previously murdered all the women she married.
A pattern is clear, as Jackie lures women, kills them and then take their cash. Later on, Jackie also informs that she never loved any of the women she murdered nor Jules. Jackie’s only goal was to make the cash in Jules’s insurance policy and to live off it.
In the finale of the film, Jackie kills Sarah and her husband, Daniel. Next, she moves on to Jules as she persuades her to help dispose of the bodies. Jackie pushes Jules off the cliff once again, and this time believes the job is complete. She makes a pretentious phone call to the police.
But the characters have something else in store for the audience. Jackie has diabetes, and she injects herself with insulin. However, via a farewell video of Jules, she realizes that the insulin was Hydrogen peroxide. The blood begins to clot in Jackie’s system, and she gets a stroke.
In the last moments, Jules is lying at the bottom of the cliff, eyes open. But suddenly, a gasp of breath is heard. Indicating that Jules might be alive after all. She survives the fall again, and this time, it was one of the women who taught Jackie a lesson!
