World of Warcraft classic addons : The best Mod and How to install mods of World of Warcraft?

If you are here looking for add-ons to World of Warcraft classic, then you are in the right place. We will cover everything there is to know about add-ons. But what really is an add-on? Add-ons are the modifications that some players have made for other fellow players. These mods make the in-game and user experience a little more comfortable and easier. There are essentially two kinds of add-ons – one being for classic and the other for the retail version. Before you install the modifications, make sure it is suitable for your game version.

1.13 – Classic version

8.3 – retailed version

Note: Some mods don’t work well with vanilla.

Let us jump right on to the add-ons available in the interface!

WoW Classic add-ons: How to install them?

When you download the mod, it should be in Program Files (x86)/World of Warcraft/_classic_/Interface/AddOns folder in your computer as a .zip file. Extract the files and choose the folder where you want to save them.

Go to the WoW folder now, then to the_classic_folder. Then to Interface and locate the folder named AddOns. Copy the new folder and paste it into this folder. The new add-ons should be active the next time you begin WoW.

Why Add-ons?

The original game that came almost sixteen years ago needs improvements as far as UI is concerned. Now, players demand a better and faster experience than the default UI did not provide. Wow has also added some of the add-ons over the years to give it a contemporary finish.

Some of the add-ons are here:

  1. Deadly Boss Mode
  2. Auctionator
  3. Questic
  4. Omnicc
  5. Details! Damage Meter
  6. Leatrix Plus
  7. Exorsus Raid Tools

This is the classic add-on available for all the modern players who take part in raid content and dungeon. This modification warns you and sends reminders of when the next event will happen, including suggestions on what you can do when it does happen.

They are available in English, Italian, Spanish, German, Chinese, Russian, and Korean with celebrities’ voices as well. The five-man dungeons for which the information is available are Deadmines, Wailing Caverns, The Stockade, Uldaman, Ragefire Chasm, Blackfathom Deeps, Razorfen Kraul, Gnomeregan, Zul’Farrak, and Scarlet Monastery.

This is the classic add-on available for all the modern players, not especially for new players. This add-on will help you in saving time when buying in bulk. Also, it simplifies searches and inputs – particularly useful for people interested in trade.

As the name might suggest, this add-on has something to do with quests. It allows the users to see the objectives and turn-ins of the quests i.e. where they are located.

In Vanilla, the tips were quite varied regarding the locations of the area; this add-on basically solves it. Additionally, it also shows the available and uncompleted quests.

This modification adds countdown to spells, abilities, and items in the inventory in World of Warcraft. Doing so, it allows the players to make informed decisions about their strategies while on a flight. This addon works pretty well in Classic, therefore it was added in the Vanilla as well.

This add-on is a healing meter in the classic version of the game. It allows one to understand the strategies of a person – find out the cast and damage of the particular player in the game. It brings into one place the information logged into the game in the form of a bar chart.

Most of the features are the same in both versions. It is always handy to have a damage meter in order to better oneself by seeing the trends.

Leatrix Plus is a very convenient collection of a variety of life improvements.  Head to the Leatrix Plus page to access the full list of features that are available- customizable minimap, visible durability, automatic junk selling, cooldowns, and free bag slots. You will be able to automatically accept quests and it also enables quicker looting.

Exorcus Raid is a rather necessary tool for all the raiders and the leaders. There is a plethora of information on them, with cooldowns, timer, fight logs, the status of battle resurrections available. A separate note area allows one to share useful information with the members in the raid. It also provides an opportunity to check in on all the raid members – whether they are present or not and other useful information.

The game came out more than a decade ago, which is quite clear with the UI it provides. In this article, we have covered most of the modifications that Blizzard Entertainment has inserted into the game.

Looks like we have covered all the basic add-ons to the game. Be sure to use them only after you have checked the game version you have.
