Death Note Season 2: When Will It Release? Plot Details & More

More than a decade old, anime series, Death Note does not seem to be up for a next season, yet. Tetsurō Araki directed the first and the only season (till now) of Death Note. Based on a manga series of the same name, the anime is created and illustrated by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata respectively. The Madhouse developed the anime and also lent a hand in the production. On behalf of all the Death Note fans, I would say that the movies made by Netflix were good, but they can not match the level of the anime. Those 37 episodes left a different impression on the viewers, which is irreplaceable.

Death Note Season 2: Release Date

As I stated above, the second season of the anime series is unlikely to happen. (I know, I am upset about too.) Even though the fans of Death Note are still hopeful about the next sequel, the production company, Madhouse maintains its silence. Why does it feel like we are Severus Snape and Madhouse is Albus Dumbledore? He (Madhouse) asks us that do we still want Death Note Season 2? And we answer, “Always”. Potter heads, give me cheer for this. Let’s get back to the point. After 13 years of the first season, there is still no hint about the second season (teary face). However, Death Note Season 1 was complete on its own and did not need any sequel, but fans can not help themselves from expecting. I am sorry and disheartened at the same time as all we (Death Note fans) can do is wait for an official announcement.

Death Note Season 2: Characters

Well, if we look at it, from an optimistic point of view and think that season 2 is on its way, then there will be the following characters. The first season ended with the death of Light Yagami, so his presence in the next season is out of the question. As for the other supporting characters, we hope to see Detective L Lawliet, Misa Amana, Nate River and Teru Mikami. And yes, how can we forget Ryuk. But all these are just our daydreaming; Madhouse is making us mad (literally). If you guys come up with any ideas about how to force them to make Death Note Season 2, then tell me about it too because I am in. ( Do I sound criminal? If yes, then, believe me, I am not like that.)

Death Note Season 2: Plot

Have you guys watched the first season? If yes, then you must be knowing about what the ” Death Note” is. For those who do not know, Death Note is a book and a rather powerful one. In last season Light used it for creating a world free of crime. In the next season, we can assume that Ryuk will find another human to be the owner of the book. Well, the manga series still has some chapters left to get featured in the anime. We can expect that Death Note season 2 will include them along with the last chapter.

Death Note Season 2: Storyline

I hate to spoil the fun for the first-timers. So I will be giving a simple gist of the story of the first season. Death Note featured mystery, supernatural and physiological thriller. It is about how a high school boy gets a book which can kill the person whose name is written on it as long as the owner knows the face of prey. Our protagonist uses it for goodwill and starts a journey in which he targets criminals first in Japan and then all over the world. He becomes the mysterious Kira, who is adored by the public and feared by the criminals. The plot is full of twists and turns, and the action in it is unfailing. I can promise that you guys will love it if you haven’t watched it yet. So give it a try.

I bet that even if you are not an anime lover or an otaku then too you must have heard the name of this great anime. I am not making things up because it is my personal experience. One of my friends suggested me to watch it about a year ago, and I don’t regret taking the suggestion. It was worth it. If you have watched it, then tell me how you feel about it and if you have not then just give it a try. And I have got one more such article for you about Castlevania 3. Read it and then tell me in comments that if I succeeded in persuading you or not.
