Who helped you through your puberty? A family member, friend or did you get to know about the changes while living through it? However you might have surpassed it, it was hard for a few of us not understanding how to react to the changes and introduction of many new things. We are now at ease knowing that the makers of “Big Mouth” have dedicated an entire show to depict the changes we go through during our adolescents. The show which made its debut back in 2017 is now all set to return for entertaining its fans for another season and here is what we know so far.

The show made its debut back in 2017 and emerged as a hit both critically and commercially. The show was soon renewed for a further season and now it is all set to return for a fifth season. Looking at its previous season releases we can expect the new season sometime in late 2021 specifically September or November. However, there is no official confirmation from the team, and looks like the fans have to wait for a little bit more longer. Although, the makers released a new season every year so it is safe to assume that the show will make its return in the mentioned time slot.

The show has an extensive cast including Nick Kroll portraying Nicholas Arsenio Birch aka Nick, John Mulaney portraying Andrew Glouberman, Jessi Klein portraying Jessica Cobain, Jason Mantziukas portraying Jay Bilzerian, Jenny Slate portraying Ayo Edebiri, Fres Armisen portraying Elliot Birch, Maya Rudolph portraying Diane Birch, Jordan Peele portraying Duke Ellington and Andrew Rannells portraying Matthew MacDill. The original cast also voices over their hormones and several other characters which recur in their storylines. The present cast is all set to reprise their roles for the upcoming season.

The show explores the problems of school students who are entering puberty. The show already covered various aspects in their previous seasons and will continue to do the same in the upcoming one. However, our three friends are in a good place finally and everything is okay within themselves too. Although, there is someone else struggling in the story; we will witness Missy adjusting to her identity as a mixed-race American and the drama of Jay and Lola after their breakup and we still have our boy Matthew making peace with his sexuality. We will have to wait to know their future.

The show revolves around adolescents entering puberty and discovering new things. However, what makes this show unique is the portrayal of the puberty hormones and the depiction of various changes we go through in puberty. They include the urge of masturbation, sex drive, and exploring sexuality. This is not all it also includes the stereotypical characters of a few people and children struggling with their identities. The show also brings the dead to life for advising our lost children and various scenarios they come through leave them clueless or confused most of the time. The show also explores friendship and heartbreaks along its course.
