In December 2019, Netflix made its long-awaited debut The Witcher, and fans are already at their seat’s edge to see what more is being offered in season 2. The Witcher is based on a series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowsk. It was already anticipated by Netflix, that the fans would definitely fall in love with Henry Casillas’s character.
The plot of Season 2
The first season of The Witcher was chiefly based on The Last Wish Collection of short stories. Tomek Baginski, the executive producer of The Witcher had confirmed previously that season 1 wouldn’t be a direct alteration of the book.

It was confirmed by Lauren S Hissrich that Anya Chalotra, Henry Cavil, and Freya Allan will all be returning in season 2. This technically means we can hope to see a lot more of Geralt Yennefer and Ciri when The Witcher returns in 2021.

As per the information, concerning season 2, the production work has not yet been started, so it’s going to be a long nail-biting wait before any new footage or teaser staring everyone’s most awaited favorite Witcher is out. A sneak peek of next season could be expected only towards the end of 2020.
Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who is the showrunner, said in early January that the season will likely unfold in a more straight forward chronology, unlike the multiple, parallel timelines that constitute most of the first season’s story.

The Witcher show has been a great accomplishment for Netflix, So great, that another Witcher story is literally on the way to the service. The anime film is called The Witcher: The Nightmare of the Wolf.
