Season 2 saw Castle saving a girl from being murdered which forced him to decide on whether he should embrace and continue as The Punisher.
The show was received quite well by the audience and critics equally. Despite the portrayal of violence which could have landed the show in a soup of controversy, the series did well as it also dealt with a wide range of issues starting from gun control to how veterans deal with post-traumatic stress.
