Among the most popular historical drama The Last Kingdom will always be known for one of its best. Based on Bernard Cornwell’s Novel series ‘The Saxon’ the series had made its own place in the fans heart. Netflix and the show makers of The Last Kingdom series is all set for its fourth season.
So what will be the release date, cast and Plot of the Season 4?
The Last Kingdom confirmed it’s renewal for the fourth season since December 2018 by its Official Twitter account. Then in April 2019, The Last Kingdom as well as Netflix confirmed that the shooting of Season 4 has begun for its all new 10 episodes. Eventually, in July 2019, the Instagram page of The Last Kingdom invited its fans to join a battle. By concluding all these events, it can be estimated that Season 4 will soon be streaming on Netflix, most likely in 2020 only. However, its official announcement will still remain awaited.
Who will be the part of The Last Kingdom Season 4?
As the story continues, the stars will remain the same. Alexander Dreymon will return as Uhtred of Bebbanburg, Ian Hart as Father Beocca, Toby Regbo as Aethelred, Emily Cox as Brida, Timothy Innes as Kind Edward, Millie Brady as Aethelflaed, Mark Rowley as Finan, Eliza Butterworth as Aelswith, Magnus Bruyn as Cnut and Jeppe Beck Laursen as Haesten. With them, there will be other stars too who will be returning in the upcoming fourth season.
Netflix has also confirmed the debut Stefanie Martini as Eadith (new love conquest of Aethelred) and Jamie Blackleg as Eardwulf (new right-hand man of Aethelred).
What is the Plot of The Last Kingdom? Being a story of 9th century AD, the show is based upon the novel The Saxon. The hero is the son of Uhtred, a Saxon boy who is raised by Danes. Later Uhtred was forced to travel Wessex (one of the seven Kingdom) which was not in Danish control. This is when the battle begins.
