Originally written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by ABEC, Sword Art Online is a Japanese anime series that is one of a kind. The viewers of this TV series stay hooked to the series mainly because of the nature of it. It is called Sword Art Online: Alcitization originally. It had first released way back in the year 2012, and the next season is a second part of the third season.  Read on for more updates about the show!

Release Date: Season 4

The season was supposed to release by October 2020, but due to the COVID pandemic, all productions have gotten delayed. The creator of the show wants to release all seasons by the end of 2022, but now due to the pandemic, it has all been postponed. Reki himself has also said that he will need more time to create the next season. Now the previous season is airing, and it is supposed to end by 11th of July,2020.

The plot of SAO:

There is s reason for the series to be this acclaimed, because of its behavior. The storyline is unique, where the characters in the series belong to virtual reality. The story follows up like this, where the characters, log onto a virtual video game. They find out soon that they cannot log out anymore.

Set in the future, the video game is thus a multiplayer game, where it constantly battles with virtual reality. The gameplayers also use a technology called the Nervegear. A NerveGear is similar to a helmet that stimulates the senses of the brain. Therefore, it allows the players to control the consciousness of the characters of the game which they are playing. The plot twists lie here, where the 10,000 players will have to play till the 100th level to log out.  If the player tries to remove the Nervegear by force, he will die.

Cast and Characters:

Kazuto Kirigaya voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka is the main protagonist of the show.  Asuna Yukki has been voiced by Haruka Tomatsu, Alice Zuberg voiced by Ai Kayano, Asada Shino voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro, Eugeo voiced by Shimazaki Nobunaga, Tiese Shtolienen voiced by Kaori Ishihara, Becouli Synthesis voiced by Junichi Subawe, Ronnie Arabel by Reina Kondou, Quinella by Maaya Sakamoto and finally Sortiliena Serlut by Megumi Han. These characters will return because the gameplay will have to continue.

The plot of the series is widely acclaimed by the viewers. It has the power to make one glued to the screen and not lose sight of the things happening in succession. The game also shows a type of future that may be awaited for us. This power of the series to have a dystopian reality virtual affair is something that makes the series stand out.
