Joker is the most awaited movie of 2019. The movie comes in the theatres this Friday i.e. October 4 after bad & good reviews, controversies, etc. Todd Phillips is the director of this movie. Some say that the movie showcases & promotes violence which is not good. On this, he said that they are just looking for a reason to criticize & nothing else.

Phillips told The Wrap that according to him it is good to have these discussions about movies & violence. He also said that outrage is a commodity. He is also surprised when he saw the reaction of people on Joker. He kept speaking and expressing the reasons that make people pounce on Joker.

He said that his agenda was not to push buttons & glorify violence through Arthur fleck’s murderous actions. His basic idea to release the movie was to make Joker a ‘real movie’. Warner Bros agreed to make the movie because of this idea of Phillip & the low budget of the movie.

Warner Bros also stands by Joker’s side & replied to the critics. He added that neither the main character Joker nor the story/film is a picture of the violence in real life. But, in a review, it was written that Joker’s way of murdering may inspire real-life murderers.

In the Hollywood premiere of the movie last weekend, it was reported that Warner Bros. did not invite any media or press. Only the photographers were invited for a reason. They felt that already people have said a lot about the movie. Now, they just have to watch it.

Survivors of the mass shooting at a Colorado movie theatre held in 2012 due to the violence shown in the trailers of Joker, wrote an open letter to the Warner Bros. on Tuesday that they should donate to control the gun cases.
