The important question that is popping in everyone’s mind would be, Will the affable neighborhood Spider-Man drop in?
With the accidental box office success of Sony’s Venom movie, it was not even a surprise that a continuation or a sequel was swiftly confirmed.
Without much delay, it is confirmed that Venom 2, is to be released on 2 October 2020. The first film’s co-writer Kelly Marcel is the writer and executive producer for this sequel.
Venom 2 plot
As expected by the fans, they didn’t get a Spidey-sized ornament in the first Venom movie, although the director has hinted at a future Spider-Man crossover.
The new director of Venom 2, Andy Serkis has stated that the movie will be an extraordinary piece of cinema. The second part of the movie mainly tries to focus on the relationship between Eddie and Venom as the producer Matt Tolmach states.
However, Spider-Man isn’t wholly confirmed out as appearing in the Venom movie. The original director Ruben Fleischer said that an encounter between the two is where the entire story begins. But as we know, Fleischer isn’t directing the second movie, so it is yet to be revealed whether this is something Andy Serkis wants in the movie.
Tom Hardy is definitely expected to be back as Eddie Brock and his alien alter ego. Another character that is known to be returning is someone who stars as Eddie Brock’s ex-wife Anne Weying, Michelle Williams. More important news would be the character that is set to play the villain Shriek in the Venom sequel is the James Bond star. Also, Naomie Harris is an addition to the cast, though it is not confirmed 100%.
